COVID-19 Coronavirus – ANZA Update

We are closely monitoring the situation regarding the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus (2019-nCOV). The safety of ANZA Members is our priority, while trying to avoid disruptions to the best extent possible.

On Friday 7 February the DORSCON level for the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) situation in Singapore was raised to Orange. The ‘Disease Outbreak Response System Condition’ (DORSCON) is a colour-coded framework developed by the Ministry of Health (MOH). Please refer to the chart here for definitions. Be advised that this is not meant to cause alarm. These systems are put in place to ensure that we all remain vigilant and continue to keep our community safe. The safety and wellbeing of ANZA members remains our highest priority, and ANZA will follow the recommendations of the MOH in planning our future events, sports and group meetings. We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and send updates to our members as official alerts and updates are issued.

Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) has provided an update for persons placed on a leave of absence due to the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus (2019-nCOV).

In line with this please be reminded ANZA requires that all members who have recently been in China and/or have cold like symptoms refrain from attending ANZA sports, interest groups and events for a period of 14 days until all potential symptoms of the coronavirus have passed.

The safety and wellbeing of ANZA members remains our highest priority, and ANZA will continue to follow the recommendations of the MOH in planning our future events and group meetings.
