At North London Collegiate School (Singapore), our culture is rooted in the pioneering spirit of our founder, Frances Mary Buss, who established the first NLCS in 1850 with a bold vision – to offer an ambitious, intellectually rigorous education that empowered young women to fulfil their potential. Today, that same spirit thrives across our family of schools – NLCS (UK), NLCS Jeju, NLCS Dubai, NLCS (Singapore), and NLCS Kobe – each one united by a shared ethos of scholarship, integrity, and aspiration.

This shared vision is what unites all NLCS schools. In 2025, NLCS (Singapore) had the honour of hosting two remarkable events that reflected the strength of our global family – the inaugural NLCS Music Festival and the first-ever NLCS Games. Both events brought together students from across our sister schools for a celebration of talent, friendship, and healthy competition.
The Music Festival was a moving showcase of artistry and collaboration, with joint performances and masterclasses that exemplified our commitment to nurturing both skill and soul. Meanwhile, the NLCS Games captured the same spirit of camaraderie, with students forging friendships across continents while demonstrating determination, sportsmanship, and school pride.These events were more than just festivals or competitions—they were a powerful expression of what it means to belong to the NLCS family: to be part of a global community where excellence, integrity, and joyful learning are the norm.
