What’s your racket sport soulmate?

When local news reports recently highlighted a rise in noise complaints linked to pickleball courts in HDB estates around the island, it wasn’t entirely surprising. The distinctive pock-pock of paddle on plastic is now firmly part of the red dot’s sporting soundtrack as racket sports rise up alongside padel and traditional tennis. With all three on offer to ANZA members, the question is less about whether to play and more about where to place your loyalty.

Thankfully, ANZA has come up with this highly scientific quiz to help you decide. Read on to find out!

YOU ARE: ANZA TENNIS

But of course! Tennis is your racket sport soulmate because you don’t mind earning your endorphins through serious cardiovascular endurance, impressive sprints and a pace that strengthens your legs, hips and core. At ANZA, the heart of it all is Friday Mixed Social Tennis, where the focus is on great rallies, easy camaraderie and starting your day feeling strong, energised and mentally sharp – all rounded off with a well-earned bev with the crew. If you’re looking to build confidence or sharpen your game, ANZA also offers Beginner and Intermediate Clinics, giving you the structure and skills to get even more out of your time on court. YOU ARE: ANZA PADEL

Clever you! You’re destined for the racket sport with walls (which are not for leaning on FYI!). Chances are you enjoy movement, brain power, nifty strategies and teamwork. ANZA Padel is your A-game because our open play format combines fast reflexes with strategy and real connection. The enclosed court keeps rallies alive, delivering a solid cardiovascular workout without the intensity of tennis. The hand–eye coordination and cognitive load means fitness for body and brain. It’s sociable and sparky too, as players rotate, mix and match and enjoy balanced games throughout each session. ANZA Padel takes place on various days and times throughout the week, and welcomes solo players and partners. It’s a friendly group where the vibe is relaxed, so don’t be shy, make a move!

YOU ARE: ANZA PICKLEBALL

When it comes to fitness you prefer consistency over intensity, and ANZA Pickleball serves exactly that. Sign up to this sports group and you’ll be rallying quickly, improving fast and having a few chats with fellow players along the way! Physically, you’re moving, reacting and working up some cardio in a style that’s manageable and sustainable. The mental lift counts too: regular play reduces stress, boosts mood and keeps motivation high. ANZA Pickleball’s Beginner Sessions cover basics, technique and confidence-building. Intermediate Coaching focuses on strategy, shot selection and refining skills. And our Beginner Coaching Clinics are a 4-week programme covering essentials, skill development and match readiness, setting you up to join ANZA Pickleball Friday social sessions.
