Uncover Singapore’s Local Markets 13 August

Go beyond the supermarket shelves and discover where Singapore’s food story really begins. This fascinating tour takes you from a little-known wholesale vegetable market, where top chefs and savvy home cooks source the freshest produce, herbs, spices and dried seafood.

You’ll then head to the lively stalls of Chinatown Wet Market, packed with heritage ingredients, local delicacies and staples that define the dishes passed down through generations.

Your journey ends at Geylang Serai Market, a lively community hub housed in a Malay-inspired building, where the scent of spices and traditional Malay specialities fills the air. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the ingredients, cultures and traditions that shape the Lion City’s rich and diverse food scene.
