Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) City Gallery & Tanjong Pagar Discovery Tour
Step into the heart of Singapore’s urban evolution on a curated tour with our URA-trained heritage guide, Diana. This guided walk blends the visionary world of city planning with the rich stories of a historic district – perfect for architecture lovers, culture seekers, and the curious at heart.
We’ll begin at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) City Gallery – an inspiring introduction to Singapore’s unique approach to city-making. Learn how this land-scarce nation transforms challenges into opportunities, and discover how urban design, conservation, and innovation work together to shape a vibrant, sustainable city for all. From here, we’ll take a short stroll to KADA, a brand-new creative lifestyle hub that celebrates Singapore’s contemporary design and cultural sensibilities. Housed in a charming century-old heritage shophouse, KADA curates a thoughtful selection of locally designed products, crafts, a wellness centre, and more. It’s a brilliant example of how traditional spaces can be reimagined with a modern twist.
Next, we’ll head into the historic precinct of Duxton Hill, where heritage shophouses, colonial-era architecture, and vibrant street life blend seamlessly with contemporary cafés, art spaces, and boutiques. Wander through the neighbourhood, uncovering the stories behind beautifully preserved landmarks and discovering how old-world charm coexists with modern city flair.
