Join us for this popular tour and discover the unique architecture in the Central Business Centre (CBD). Learn about how this island became a “City in a Garden” starting in 1967 with a tree planting scheme, designing parks and recreational facilities, and legislating minimum standards for sustainable green buildings.
Our guide will share with us what defines a green building and how it is tailored to projects in the tropics as well as who were the architects and landscape designers behind the various iconic award-winning buildings we will see.
We will walk to the recently opened CapitaSpring building where we will begin our visit with a panoramic view from the rooftop Sky Garden located on level 51 and walk through the cascading green oasis, a lush garden spread over 3 levels.
After a short break at Lau Pa Sat for refreshments (at own cost) we will head over to Marina One, a joint Singaporean Malaysian project of an integrated commercial and residential complex.
Our last stop will be at the 27-story skyscraper Oasia Hotel which looks like a giant living tree located in the Tanjong Pagar area.
We will finish with an optional lunch at Oso restaurant (at own cost).
