ANZA Groups at a glance: Activities, connections, fun!

Whether you’re new to Singapore or a seasoned ANZA veteran, our sports and activity groups will keep you busy and feeling right at home on the red dot.

While ANZA is famed for its warm community spirit and love of a good time, it’s our mega line-up of sports and activities groups that sit at the core of who we are. With options for every member of the family, they’re your ticket to meeting new people, getting out of the house, and giving your mind and body a boost.

As a not-for-profit association, we’re endlessly appreciative of our volunteers who keep every one of our offerings buzzing week after week. Whether you’re rallying on the tennis court, or catching up over a coffee, we’re always evolving our portfolio to match shifting trends and interests.

ANZA ADULT NETBALL
Welcomes beginners and those looking to get back into the game. A senior coach leads upbeat sessions, teaching new skills, refining existing ones, and offering advice for friendly matches.

INVESTORS INTEREST GROUP
This money-minded group meets monthly to connect and discuss investments and important financial matters for expats.
+PLUS POINTS: Expect clear, practical, expat-focused advice on everything from tax to savings to smart investing. A judgment-free zone with real experts and real talk.
DON’T MISS THIS! There’s zero hard sell at these sessions, just a warm, open roundtable. Many members stick around for lunch and keep the convo flowing after the meeting wraps.

ANZA SOCCER
Get your kids kicking with ANZA Soccer! Open to children aged 3–18, these sessions focus on fair play and community. Saturday games and mid-week training for all levels. We also offer a competition league for competitive players.

ANZA CYCLING
Join our keen cycling group and you can get out on two wheels every morning of the week. Suits most skill levels and includes road, racing, MTB, and triathlon disciplines.

SET LUNCH
We seek out great value set lunch deals around the island to enjoy together in group outings. Discover new restaurants and cafés, meet new friends, and enjoy Singapore’s diverse food scene.

BOOK CLUBS
We have a number of social book clubs that meet monthly in the morning or evening. Options are posted on the ANZA website.
+PLUS POINTS: Bring a little balance into your life! Joining gives you a pocket of peace in a busy week and helps you to build a comforting, regular routine.
DON’T MISS THIS! Because ANZA members come from all over the world, you might read a Kiwi memoir, Aussie fiction, or Singapore-based bio. Tuesday’s BC also head out to the movies or other book-related events.

ANZA CRICKET
Three cricket teams. Two leagues, and one social side. 1–2 teams play every week. NETs are on Wednesday evenings. It’s a great way to meet people, enjoy some banter, and keep fit while having a hit.

ANZA SCOUTS
Open to those aged 5–17, ANZA Scouts is about meeting new mates, developing leadership skills, and being outdoors. They meet on Saturdays at various locations.
+PLUS POINTS: Scouts is fantastic for character building, and provides kids with leadership skills, teamwork know-how, and confidence. Outdoor excursions, hiking, team games, and survival challenges boost resilience, coordination, and strength.
DON’T MISS THIS! From kayaking around Kallang to tackling a two-day extravaganza at Sarimbun Scout Camp, ANZA Scouts is never not an adventure.

ANZA ACTION
The community affairs arm for ANZA supports charities in Singapore through fundraising and volunteering activities.

CASUAL COFFEE
Sometimes you just need a good cuppa and a friendly welcome. Casual Coffee catch-ups are held on various days and in cafés across SG.
+PLUS POINTS: This group is super-welcoming and offers an inclusive space for new arrivals, long-timers, or anyone craving connection.
DON’T MISS THIS! With different members joining each meet-up, you’re guaranteed to make new mates every time. As this group is popular, remember to sign up and we’ll save you the best seat!

MAHJONG
Join these sessions on Monday evenings and various days in different locations.
+PLUS POINTS: Mahjong is fab for keeping your mind buzzing.It sharpens pattern recognition, boosts quick thinking, and improves tile agility and fine motor skills. It’s also a lovely way to connect across ages and backgrounds.
DON’T MISS THIS! Every October the mahjong gang go pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

ANZA NIPPERS
Children aged 5–14 learn ocean awareness through fun surf lifesaving activities, including paddling, drills, and swimming. Sunday mornings at Ola Beach Club, Sentosa.

ANZA SINGING
This group of passionate singers come together to celebrate the joy of music, exploring a wide range of songs across various genres. Beginners and seasoned vocalists are all welcome.
+PLUS POINTS: The benefits of singing are endless: it opens the breath, improves posture, and gets you moving in gentle, feel-good ways. It’s great for lung capacity and tuning in to how your body works. Plus, you can show off at karaoke.
DON’T MISS THIS! The group often perform at ANZA events, so if you feel like forming a fanbase, get practising your celebrity autograph!

ANZA RUNNING
Looking for running buddies in Singapore for regular casual runs? ANZA Running Group meet on Monday evenings in the Botanic Gardens.

WRITERS’ GROUP
Connect, create, and grow with ANZA Writers’ Group, a welcoming space for writers of all levels. Whether your passion is fiction, poetry, memoir, or blogging, this is the place to share ideas, network, and hone your craft.
+PLUS POINTS: This group offers a genuine creative reset. You get uninterrupted time to write without distractions, share stories, and get thoughtful feedback that helps sharpen your voice.
DON’T MISS THIS! Members often run mini challenges or flash workshops – quick, playful prompts that can spark cool ideas.

SECRET MEN’S BUSINESS
Secret Men’s Business (SMB) is a laid-back, social group made up mainly of male trailing spouses from all walks of life, all looking to connect over a few beers, a good lunch, and some friendly banter.
+PLUS POINTS: Making new mates can sometimes feel awkward, so this group offers an easy, cringe-free way to hang out and share a laugh.
DON’T MISS THIS! The group sometimes venture off island for lads’ trips – a great way to explore with good company away from the gals!

STITCH ‘N’ CRAFT
This group welcomes anyone keen to work on their own needlework, craft, or creative project. It’s a nice space in which to share ideas, enjoy conversation, and get inspired.
+PLUS POINTS: This might be our most chilled group yet! Stitching and crafting are wonderfully calming. Join them at the ANZA office to work at your own pace while enjoying company and creativity.
DON’T MISS THIS! The group is clued up on the best crafting supply stores, plus all the markets and shops worth browsing in SG.

ANZA NETBALL
ANZA Netball offers a fun, inclusive, and competitive programme for players aged 5–16. Teams play Saturday mornings at Tanglin Trust School, with a mix of parent and professional coaches.

ANZA PADEL
ANZA Padel provides an ideal setting for players of all levels to get together and enhance their gameplay. Sessions take place on Sunday afternoons.

KILL-O-METRES
Join ANZA’s walking group to get moving around some of Singapore’s great nature reserves and neighbourhoods.
+PLUS POINTS: Walking is a chilled, accessible, and low-impact way to build stamina, boost heart health, and keep moving. Just a simple stroll with others can be calming and meditative, offering a chance to chat, decompress, and enjoy SG’s diverse scenery.
DON’T MISS THIS! Signing up is a guaranteed way to get you up and at ‘em on a Monday morning! Also, ANZA Kill-o-Metres’ ad-hoc night walks, exploring Singapore after dark, offer something different.

ANZA SINGAPORE WOMBATS AND WOMBETTES (AFL)
This welcoming Aussie Rules Football programme is open to men and women aged 18+. Training is on Thursday evenings and Saturdays, with regular social catch-ups.

LADIES NIGHT
ANZA organises monthly girls-only get-togethers at various hotspots in Singapore. They’re a great way to widen your social circle and a top night out.
+PLUS POINTS: Who doesn’t want a mid-week breather where you can switch off, dress up (or not), and have a laugh over discounted drinks and nibbles? Note: The ANZA office team always attend so you’ll never be alone.
DON’T MISS THIS! ANZA Ladies Night is open to non-members too. Our ANZA Social Night events welcome the guys, so keep an eye out for dates.

ANZA WATERSPORTS
Join our Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kayaking sessions at Ola Beach Club, Sentosa – a stunning location to be out on the water.

ANZA GOLF / 9 HOLE
ANZA Golf is an excellent way to get outdoors, meet new people, and enjoy the game. The 9-hole golf group is relaxed, fun, and perfect for players of all levels.
+PLUS POINTS: Head out on the green and improve strength and coordination in the fresh air. Because the pace is unhurried, there’s time to chat, swap tips, and enjoy the stroll between holes.
DON’T MISS THIS! Also on the golf agenda: party nights, light-hearted comps, and the occasional quirky game with made-up rules that provide a giggle!

ANZA PICKLEBALL
ANZA Pickleball meet for social play on Friday mornings at centrally located courts. Weekly beginner sessions for newbies and intermediate sessions are also available.
+PLUS POINTS: Pickleball is fast, fun, full of movement, and kinder on joints than tennis. Doubles games make it social with light-hearted rivalry and the chance to make friends.
DON’T MISS THIS! This sports group is a tried-and-true ANZA favourite. Places go quickly, so don’t miss out.

CASUAL TENNIS
Join our social tennis group on Friday mornings, 9am–11am. We also organise six-week clinics that focus on fundamentals throughout the year.
+PLUS POINTS: Tennis is a full-body workout, boosting agility, endurance, and coordination. This group are also a sociable bunch who often head for coffee or lunch after hitting the courts.
DON’T MISS THIS! ANZA Tennis Clinics at Savitar Tennis Centre cover coaching, technique, and game strategy. They’re perfect for beginners and intermediate players.

ANZA BASKETBALL
New for 2026 is ANZA Basketball! Juniors, teens, adults, social players, and competitors are all invited to shoot hoops with us. Just want to volunteer your knowledge? We’d love to hear from you too!
