ANZA Netball aspire to reach higher

Player of the week #1.

There’s a new energy at ANZA Netball this term. The group launched a fresh initiative called ANZA ASPIRE, a midweek development programme for players in the 2013 and 2014 age groups. Designed to complement existing Saturday training, it gives players more opportunity to build confidence, develop skills and deepen their understanding of the game in a supportive setting. Importantly, ANZA ASPIRE also recognises the amazing strength and depth emerging across our ANZA age groups.

Many players only narrowly missed the Perth selection this year, and ANZA ASPIRE was designed to ensure they, as well as others, continue to receive meaningful development opportunities and guidance. A recent highlight was the chance to play friendly development matches. These games gave players valuable match exposure and a chance to apply their training at a competitive level, pushing the girls to step outside their comfort zones, build resilience and keep learning through real match play. What’s stood out most, though, is the attitude and commitment shown by the players. Across the training block, the girls have embraced the chance to keep improving, lift one another up and fuel their love for the game. ANZA Netball is committed to creating pathways for all players to keep progressing, and we can’t wait to see where ANZA ASPIRE goes next.

IN THE ZONE

Congrats to ANZA Netball players Jemima and Richa who’ve been selected for the Singapore 17 & Under Zone Squad 2026. It’s a well-deserved nod to their talent, dedication and hard work on the court. We’re so proud of them both and can’t wait to see them shine!
