What’s on in Singapore this July & August

New Zealand sprint into Singapore

Aotearoa’s waka ama community is set to make a major splash in Singapore this August, with around 580 paddlers travelling to the 21st IVF World Sprint Championships. Joined by coaches, managers, whānau and supporters, the New Zealand contingent will be part of a global gathering of more than 3,000 competitors from 31 countries at the biggest event on the international Va’a calendar.

The championships mark a major milestone for the sport, being the first time the event has been hosted in Singapore and the first time it has been held in Asia. Racing gets underway with the World Elite Championships from 20–22 August, where Aotearoa will compete in Open Tāne, Open Wāhine, J19 Tāne, J19 Wāhine and Mixed Para divisions. The World Club Championships follow from 23–29 August, with reserve days scheduled for 30–31 August. This year’s competitors range in age from just 11 to 89 –head on down and show them some love!

Get up & Glow

Glow Festival by Prudential is back at Sentosa from 10–19 July 2026, and this year it’s had a glow-up of its own. Returning with its biggest programme yet, expect everything from sunrise yoga by the sea and scenic coastal runs to strength-training workouts, breathwork classes and creative workshops. The daytime lineup is stacked with fitness heavyweights, including British fitness coach Joe Wicks, Australian trainer Chontel Duncan and Hong Kong fitness creator Emi Wong. Come sunset, the festival swaps sweat sessions for live music and Glow Commons serves up food and drinks.

ANZA Social Night takes flight at Little Birdie

Looking for a fun way to break up the week? ANZA Social Night is heading to Little Birdie on Wednesday, 22 July for a relaxed evening of great company, lively conversation and new connections. Escape Reality at The Portals Experience

Sci-fi and fantasy fans are in for a treat with “The Portals Experience.” Running until 2 September, the exhibition features 300+ original artworks, books, miniatures and collectables from major gaming franchises. Highlights include rare handcrafted pieces and original illustrations from “The Lord of the Rings”, “Dune” and Warhammer 40,000.

In Full Bloom

The Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) returns to Gardens by the Bay from 4–12 July 2026, marking its 10th edition with “Carnival of Blooms.” Held once every two years, the event showcases immersive floral displays, wow-inducing garden installations, and plenty of botanical inspiration from international and local horticulturalists, transforming the gardens into a colourful celebration of nature and design.

Get Your Grump On

“The Adventures of Grumpy Cat” is the latest exhibition by acclaimed local artist Yip Yew Chong. Taking place until 30 August, the showcase brings together dozens of witty, heartwarming paintings starring the beloved, unnamed tubby cat. Guaranteed to raise a smile, even if the cat itself doesn’t look amused.

Tickets Now Available for F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2026

The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2026 is turning up the volume as they ontinue to unveil major entertainment acts for this year’s race weekend, from 9–11 October. Leading the latest line-up are global superstar Janet Jackson, British singer-songwriter James Arthur, Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson, Singapore’s own mandopop icon JJ Lin and K-pop boyband Cortis. They join previously announced acts including Mark Ronson, DJ Snake, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Goo Goo Dolls and Split Enz. It’s gonna be a goodie, so get onto booking tickets before it’s too late!
