Where to discover Australian wines in 2026

Inspired by the powerful story of people behind today’s success of Australian wine, a real treat from vineyard to bottle, I am thrilled to connect with you through every sip of Australian wine in your glass. After spending several decades in Sydney, Australia, my return trip to Singapore in 2025 was both nostalgic and inspiring. Last year also coincided with SG60 – Singapore’s 60th National Day celebration – commencing on 9 August 2025 and continuing throughout the year. Against this backdrop of national pride, I’ve found myself immersed in the city’s evolving wine and culinary landscape.

One highlight was the bi-monthly Australian wine tastings at Praelum Wine Bistro, hosted in collaboration with dedicated distributors and the Sommelier Association of Singapore. These sessions, held every second month on Thursday afternoons from 3–5pm, open their doors to both trade professionals and the public. The very first tasting last July was a joyful success, with attendees leaving cheerful, educated, and more connected to the vibrant world of Australian wine. The next wine tasting will be held on the 29 January 2026. Event details here.

My mission has always been to elevate the perception of Australian wine among Singaporean and Asian wine enthusiasts. Australia’s strong showing at Vinexpo Asia 2024 proved that the global appetite for premium Australian wines is only growing, and I am proud to help continue that momentum here in the Lion City. On a personal note, 2025 also marked my entry into two dynamic communities in Singapore. As a new member of ANZA (Australian and New Zealand Association), I was excited to attend the New Members Morning Tea at the Australian High Commission and look forward to connecting at future gatherings. Similarly, joining AustCham Singapore opens doors to meaningful networking opportunities. Explore AustCham.

The strength of any community lies in the pride and passion of its people. As Singapore celebrated its milestone 60th anniversary, I am grateful to be part of a thriving, multicultural network that values connection, tradition, and innovation.

Here’s to raising a glass together — celebrating wine, community, and the spirit of Singapore.
