ANZA Basketball Committee Roles
Committee Member
Joining the ANZA Basketball Committee is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that drives and engages the overall operations of our non-profit program. As a committee member, you’ll play an essential role in shaping the experience for players, parents, and volunteers. Committee members typically meet once a month and commit to weekly responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the program.
President
The President provides leadership and direction for the basketball committee, chairing meetings and setting agendas. Acts as the main liaison with ANZA leadership and stakeholders, ensuring the program runs smoothly, grows sustainably, and aligns with ANZA values.
Treasurer
The Treasurer oversees the financial management of the basketball program, including budgeting and tracking expenses. Manages payments, monitors financial stability, and ensures transparency and accountability.
Secretary
The Secretary manages committee administration, including soliciting items for meetings, taking detailed minutes, tracking action items, and maintaining records. Serves as the key communication link between the ANZA office and the basketball committee.
Youth Coordinator
Support the youth basketball program by helping organise training sessions, leagues, and development activities. Work alongside coaches, age group coordinators, and parents to make sure sessions are fun, safe, and engaging for younger players.
Age Group Coordinator
Acts as the key contact for a specific age group, helping coordinate communication between coaches, players, and parents. Assists with team organisation, scheduling updates, and ensuring players have the information they need throughout the season.
Social Media & Photography
Helps capture and share the energy of ANZA Basketball by taking photos at games or training sessions and contributing content for social media and newsletters. Works with the committee to promote the program and celebrate players, teams, and community moments.
General Committee Members
Support the committee by assisting with program delivery, events or communications. Contribute ideas and help implement initiatives to ensure smooth operations across all aspects of the basketball program.
