Few storytellers can make the intricacies of the universe understandable, but if anyone can do it, it’s Professor Brian Cox. Nearly half a million people across the world saw his smash-hit show Horizons, and now you can catch him live in Singapore with his latest tour, Emergence.

Emergence, taking place on Wednesday, 10 June at The Star Theatre, delivers his most ambitious live tour to date – an immersive journey that invites audiences to explore not just where we come from, but how complexity arises from simplicity. From the largest structures in the known Universe to Earth’s interlinked ecosystems and the structure of the human brain – we live in a world of dazzling complexity.

At its core, Emergence is a celebration of the laws of nature and the intricate structures they create. The show weaves together cosmology, biology, philosophy and history, guiding audiences from the smallest building blocks of existence to the grandest scales of galaxies and black holes.

But don’t worry! This is far from a traditional mind-boggling lecture. Designed as a fully immersive experience, Emergence uses LED technology and state-of-the-art sound and lighting to transform complex scientific ideas into something visceral and awe-inspiring.

“I’ve loved creating Emergence. I’ve been very lucky to collaborate with a wonderful group of scientists, musicians, filmmakers and graphic artists to bring cosmology, biology, philosophy and history,” Professor Cox says. ” I hope the show is all-encompassing and leaves everyone, whether they love science or music or history, with something new to think about.”

Emergence not only uncovers secrets to understanding the universe, it encourages the audience to feel the connection between the smallest particles and the vast cosmos,  leaving with a renewed sense of wonder about our (very tiny!) place within it.
