Responsibilities and Benefits
The ANZA Soccer Committee is made up of parents who want to contribute to the enjoyment of the players and the success of one of Singapore’s oldest youth sport groups and one of the only non-profit soccer leagues on the island. We welcome inquiries from interested parents, and hope you will join us!

Specific Roles and Responsibilities
· All ANZA Soccer Committee members are expected to attend monthly Committee meetings when possible during the year. Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of the month between 7.30 and 10 pm. Meetings are organised and focused, and follow standard procedures. Additional responsibilities are below.
Age Group Coordinators (AGCs)
· organise teams at the start of the season, in consultation with coaches grading new players
· determine schedule of matches for the season, working from previous year’s schedule
· organise volunteer coaches and team parents
· communicate weekly with team parents and coaches about the upcoming Saturday’s schedule and any issues
· make on-pitch decisions regarding lightning, haze, poor weather, and other unusual situations
· in age groups with ladder (U10 and older) collect scores from refs / coaches and forward to scorekeeper
Competition Team Coordinators (CTCs)
· organise teams at the start of the season, in consultation with coaches responsible for running Competition Team tryouts
· liaise with the outside organisations running the Sunday leagues
· organise volunteer coaches and team parents
· communicate weekly with team parents and coaches about upcoming games and any issues
Girls Team Coordinators (GTCs)
· organise teams at start of season, in consultation with coaches responsible for grading players
· organise volunteer coaches and team parents
· communicate weekly with girls team coaches and team parents about upcoming games
· act as liaison between parents and the Committee as the programme develops
· act as a liaison between Matildas teams and the relevant AGCs
· determine and coordinate participation in outside tournaments / leagues
Secretary
· solicit items for monthly meeting agenda
· run meetings tactfully and efficiently
· keep and distribute monthly meeting minutes
· note and communicate action items for Committee members
· liaise with ANZA Office about ANZA Soccer matters
Treasurer
· assume responsibility for the budgeting and financial planning of the ANZA Soccer programme
· act as signatory to the bank a/c and handle payment of all invoices
· handle cash payments to weekly contract workers such as coaches, medical and support staff
· prepare monthly reports to ANZA Group Treasurer
Kit Coordinator
· solicit supplier bids for player, volunteer, and employee garment orders
· liaise with the chosen supplier(s) for design options; present to the Committee
· review previous year’s order with AGCs and update quantity and sizing as needed
· place the orders and agree on delivery dates
· distribute kit at the beginning of the season to AGCs
· manage new or replacement orders during season
Communications Coordinator
· write monthly ANZA Magazine Soccer article
· coordinate social media efforts and update ANZA Soccer website and blog
· help AGCs and Committee members as needed with communications issues
· communicate Committee decisions and policies to ANZA Soccer families and to the ANZA central office
Logistics Coordinator
· Prepare schedule of mid-week training and Saturday pitch requirements, in consultation with Committee and AGCs and working from previous year’s schedule
· Arrange pitch bookings for upcoming season’s training and Saturday sessions (by end of March)
· Make and keep track of extra pitch bookings (such as make-up or one-off bookings) as needed
· liaise with The Cage staff when necessary
· review and verify Cage invoices against the booking schedule before recommending to Treasurer for payment.
